Summary/Objective: This position provides overall direction and leadership to the operations of I/DD and braided behavioral health services. This consists of adult day, vocational, workforce, community employment, braided behavioral health programs, and non-medical transportation services across multiple counties. The Director is responsible for creating an atmosphere that provides for continuity of quality services and clear direction and expectations for all employees related to the company's mission. The Director implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems, and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing the highest level of customer service to the community, individual families, and individual and referral sources. Identifies and acts on opportunities to help and support associates, individuals served, and families where needs can be met between departments. Always looks for creative ways to serve individuals cross-departmentally. 2. Operates Community Integration Services business and operations, creates and oversees the financial budget and budget planning for integrated operational services, and generates positive operating results. Assists in the development and management of the operating budgets for each area. Provides staff with regular oversight throughout the year regarding how operations match budget expectations, including key performance indicators to quickly detect issues. 3. Works with People & Culture, and Administrators to ensure sufficient staffing is in place to meet the needs of the people served in each department. 4. Works collaboratively with the Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to ensure quality and compliance processes and efforts are the key focus of all services and supports provided. Participates in quality assurance programs, assessments, and accreditation. 5. Is the subject matter expert for the region regarding best practices operational & program, emerging practices operational & program, rules, and regulations. 6. Assists staff in utilizing appropriate techniques for effective assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of programs. Coaches and teaches staff how to communicate with their associates to determine their needs, as well as the needs of the individuals/families served. 7. Supports the interdisciplinary team in areas by listening to concerns and suggestions and providing prompt follow-up and feedback. Identifies and discusses with administrators and other appropriate associates' ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality. 8. Maintains policies and procedures for each program. Ensures management practices are addressed in all areas — from confidentiality and compliance to training and internal controls, among others. 9. In conjunction with the Director of Revenue and Reimbursement, oversees all communication with DODD regarding paid and unpaid claims including, but not limited to creating and electronically transmitting DODD Waiver claim billing files; electronically retrieving DODD paid claims files; overseeing the location, correction, and resubmission of paid claim billing errors. 10. Represents Community Integration Services programs in any audits or provider compliance reviews conducted by staff or representatives of the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, or any County Boards of Developmental Disabilities, in collaboration with the QA and Compliance teams. Respond to any findings, prepares, and fully implement any plans of correction. 11. In conjunction with the State Director, the Director will market and expand Boundless integrated services in the designated region. 12. Participates in committees and task forces as appropriate. 13. Actively participate in trade associations (local and national) meetings related to subject matter expertise. 14. Development and implementation of strategic plans and goals that reflect our priorities while improving opportunities and the quality of services to individuals and stakeholders. 15. Oversees annual needs assessment for the program. 16. Ensures all rules and regulations are abided by under all governing bodies for Boundless services. Competencies 1. Personnel management 2. Teamwork orientation 8.Detail oriented Required Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 2. At least five years of full-time paid work experience in business management and the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, which includes responsibility for the following functions: personnel matters, supervision of employees, program services, and financial management. Preferred Education and Experience 1. Master's degree from an accredited institution with business or program related fields, preferred.2. Excellent computer skills — including spreadsheets and word processing tools — and the ability to learn new programs expeditiously. 3. Fifteen or more years of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including responsibility for the following functions: personnel matters, supervision of employees, program services, and financial management. 4. Experience with Advisor software. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: The candidate must be flexible with the growth of the region. Supervisory Responsibility: This position is directly responsible for managing all staff employed within Community Integration Services in assigned counties. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
